How Do I Care For My Green Plant

Green Thumb Not Required - Not only are green and flowering plants a great enhancement to any home or office decor, they are also beneficial to your health. The results of a study by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) show that common houseplants are powerful, natural air cleaners -- all the more reason why you want to keep your plants healthy with the proper care.
While they usually come with care instructions specified for the type of plant, we recommend to keep most green houseplants thriving:

Keep plants in medium-light locations
Natural light is best, however, some plants also can thrive in office fluorescent light. Most flowering potted plants should be placed in areas with the most light in order to maintain good flower color and promote the maximum number of flowers to open. Foliage plants will do well under lower light levels and can be placed in areas providing reduced light.

Plant soil should be kept moist at all times
Plants should not be allowed to dry out or wilt. However, avoid overwatering; do not allow plants to stand in water. Avoid wetting leaves.

Avoid excessive heat or cold
Plants should be maintained between 65 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit for best performance.

A Guide For Men Who Give Flowers

Give flowers just because.
Women love to be thought of. Not just because it is a special occasion but  because she is special.  A Man who realizes this truth will have a great relationships with the lady in in his life.  Most women delight in receiving a card or a hand written note just telling them they are being thought of.  Give it a try and see if your relationship is not better by keeping your special lady at the top of your priority list.

You don't have to spend a fortune.
While most women like to receive a dozen long stemmed roses, beautifully arranged in a crystal vase, most also appreciate  a few stems of flowers wrapped in paper or cello wrap.  The key is the heart motivation behind your giving.  Think about a few stems or even a dozen of shorter stem flowers with a ribbon gathering them together.  It really is the thought that counts.

Flowers for any occasion
Flowers are the perfect vehicle to convey your feelings.  Sadness, happiness, romantic intentions or fondness- all can be conveyed with flowers.

Be thoughtful in choosing your bouquet
Today's woman is aware of the vast variety of flowers available and while One Dozen Red Roses is the classic, consider sending a few stems of orchids, lisianthus, tulips or other flowers now and then.  Sending something different than you usually send conveys the message that you are putting thought into your gift selection.  This makes the recipient feel more important.

The possibilities are endless
Because of their infinite diversity and unique appeal, flowers can be given time and time again without losing their "specialness." Each new floral arrangement is a fresh and individual declaration of appreciation -- reflecting positively on your imagination and thoughtfulness.

Flowers don't have to mean commitment
Flowers mean you care.  Flowers can be sent to a special someone or a business contact, a family member or a lover.  Flowers in themselves do not convey a message, the message should be conveyed by your enclosure card. If you are afraid, however, of sending the wrong message to someone of the opposite sex then ask your florist to send flowers not typically associated with romance.

Flowers have a lasting effect.
Long after the blooms have withered from the stems the memories are cherished in the heart of the recipient.
